Poor metal quality isn't uncommon with Boeotian coins. This is far from being one of my favorite coins but I still like the portrait style and completeness of the obverse, which is uncommon (ex BCD):
Details are awesome AJ, must be a Stater...even your "crappy coins" are better then anything i have..
Thanks Chris, i can't change now.. Today's next coin .. Cassander, Macedonia..297 BC.. Greek bronze.. Obv. head of young Hercules right. Rev. naked youth on horse pacing right. 20mm x 5.76g. Awesome dark green patina.. This is my best guess on this coin, any other info would be great. (the edge of this coin has BD color, but is a hard surface)
Nice => that's an awesome AE winner, my coin-friend!! (great eye-appeal => love the smokey green patina)
