Sweet pickup Steve! I really like those Titus dolphin and anchor coins. I almost pulled the trigger on a several when shopping for my Titus, but since I'm doing my 12 Caesars in mostly bronze, I picked up this example instead. I need to re-shoot that reverse. Titus; AD 79-81 Bronze As, 26mm/13.1g (Rome Mint) Obverse: laureate head right, Reverse: Pax standing left, near a lighted altar, holding with the right hand a patera and with the left one a caduceus and an olive branch, (Cohen 129)
TIF, I'd like your post with the Syracuse. Agathokles twice if I could. Just an absolute stunner. I still remember your story of the bidding hunt on that one. LOL!

http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/f55.html My dolphin on anchor has been shown before and even made my favorites list so I'll offer that link here rather than the coin. Another favorite is my poor man's version of the Taras which is a series that could easily become a speciality due to the variations on the theme available. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/f40.html
Nice addition. I have some with tiny dolphins but too lazy to post them this morning, theyre in old threads
Nice pick up and one I have eyed for a long to time to add to my collection. VITELLIUS AR Denarius OBVERSE: A VITELLIVS GERM IMP AVG TR P, laureate head right REVERSE: XV VIR SACR FAC Tripod, raven below, dolphin above Struck at Rome, Apr/Dec 69AD 2.9g, 19mm RIC 109, BMC 39, S 2201
