    Wow. Doesn't anyone else think it looks like a plated finish that's developed cracks?

    Nothing stands out as screaming "obvious fake" from what I can tell, but I'd rather see better pics before actually giving an opinion.

    I think it was probably mounted as jewelry at some point though for what that's worth. Either that or it just has some rim dents.

    I still can't imagine what would produce that kind of craquelure finish on real gold...

    Real and real damaged I got no idea wtf happened to it overheated removing it from jewelry maybe? Worth it weight anyway

    It's so badly damaged that I think the only relevant question is : "Is it made of real gold?"

    Ok. I had it scanned, and now im even more confused. Its weight is 4.2 grams. It is 22 karat and has the proper amount of gold in it. However it also had a percent of zinc in it. We scanned other gold coins of that era and none of them had zinc in them. anybody have zinc in their gold coins?

    Could it be one of those old middle eastern fakes that are made of real gold? Their real good
