I had an XF-45 with the same variety, not in the plastic you want though, and gone now, but I know where it went if you want to talk to him about it. I purchased the 45 for my type set, and was happy with that grade until I found that 55 for not much more money and ive been focusing on the seated series lately, so i figured I would buy a better example. Im stoked about the quarter still though, it should be here Tuesday or so I am hoping.
A common coin made special by the beautiful album toning!! Other then cc Morgans I collect them for their color nice coin!!
On the note of 20 cents bought this one raw about 7-8 years ago and got it back from pcgs last week eventually hope to upgrade it to a 75-cc or a proof still it's a nice original coin
It's a beauty! I don't think it's AT, I have seen similar graded specimens of a similar toning pattern, but with your pictures you can really show the beauty of the coin, it looks amazing! Way better than I could ever do
Now, I have ALL of the Satin Finish Sac. Dollars from 2005 to current. This is a very low pop coin with none better:
M.D this one good buy but!!! 2005-2010 Satin finish coins in high grades one day may be a pricey coin.
New lady I needed for the empress portion of my collection. Couldnt find too many examples of this mint/reverse type. Mintmark reads much better in hand when tilted at different angles. Eudoxia (400 - 404 A.D.) Æ3 O: AEL EVDOXIA AVG, pearl-diademed and draped bust right, crowned with wreath by the Hand of God above. R: GLORIA ROMANORVM, empress seated facing on throne, hands folded, being crowned by manus Dei, cross right. SMKA in exergue. 2.1g 18mm RIC 80, LRBC 2450
I've been traveling for a while and haven't had time to post for a few weeks and I come back to this thread (one of my favorites) and hit the "Like" button more times than I can remember in recent times. GREAT NEWPS everyone!!!!
Here's one I won from a Legend Morphy auction. I placed a "bid" as a place holder more than anything else. I like the coin, but already have 3 graded higher. I thought, if I win it at this price then great, if not, no big deal. Well, I won it and it arrived over the weekend. It's very nice. Notice the GSA Holder does not say "Uncirculated Silver Dollar", but it still graded MS. It's my first toned GSA Morgan and it has the "*". It's a solid 64 technically and a very nice dark gold toner! Sadly, this might be my last coin this year. I have some other areas I want to focus on monetarily and I've already spent whatever budget I had for this year.
