Grading Help 1904 Red Indian Cent

Discussion in 'Coin Chat' started by coinaddict1795, May 29, 2014.

  1. I was wondering if you would give your opinion on what grade I should expect. I am sending a bunch of Indians to PCGS for my set (and to burn some vouchers) and was hoping to get opinions. The coin in hand had a beautiful burnt red tone, bright! I was going to pay the conservation cost for the spot on Obverse if you think its beneficial. Thanks for your thoughts!! 1904 Indian 2 001.jpg 1904 Indian 2 rev 001.jpg

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

It strikes me as a $12-15 coin, at most, pretty low-end to warrant slabbing; plus the fields are pitted, mottled, and stained.

Some of the details are nice, but I agree with the pitting fields.
I'd say EF45 with MAYBE a chance of AU
