I found this dime going through a bag of circulated coins. Can someone help me specify the errors? The pictures were taken on my cell phone. CAM00219~2.jpg CAM00225~2.jpg

    1) Run over by a car... several times...
    2) Dragged under a steam roller for 1/2 mile
    3) Experimented upon by a sadistic pre-adolescent youth
    4) ... probably more...

    (it's all Post-mint damage, methinks)

    Nope. Didn't see that.

I'm still gonna vote PMD, but I'll defer to the experts.

I'm not sure how others aren't seeing an error here. I see the doubling plain as day. Can't tell you what happened though.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I have been doing some searching and haven't found anything with this type of doubling. How do you you know those are pmd scratching is pmd?

Yes, it all looks like PMD, (save for the doubling, which looks real.) So, this was most likely a DDO, but is so damaged, it is worthless.

Looks like a dryer coin. I have a LMC somewhere that spent a lot of time in the dryer. The reverse looks like it has tripling.

The only error I see is that the damage on the reverse is so severe that it makes the rest of the coin worthless.

    WRONG! It's still worth 10 cents :p

Not sure where you're getting this from; it was most certainly not a DDO.

Would you waste a perfectly good dime for it?

Not at all. But if it were mine, I'd use it and at least get the 10 cents worth...not to mention I wouldn't have to have it in my possession any more :)
