Album toning. With a bit of pl characters ms -64 at a glance I thought it might be a proof I love it!!
I paid about double what the book lists this grade as, but I thought it had an outside shot at 63, and the toning kicked it up for me too. Can't wait to see her in hand.
It probably did and then got placed on eBay. Wouldn't surprise me anyway, that happens frequently. I bought it on the bay though. Wished I would've caught it on HA, probably would've saved a couple hundo.
1914-2014 Panama Canal Centennial, Copper, Satin Finish, Toned. Designed and stuck by D. Carr using surplus Denver Mint coin press. I have seen a few other examples of this low mintage coin posted in this thread -- interesting how they all toned differently -- I wonder what method he used? This was just photographed by Robec yesterday. Fantastic job!
Bought this last night. Again, not super valuable by any stretch but I loved the eye appeal on this coin. My second slabbed coin ever.
Finally got my Ebay worked out (long story)! Purchased these as a group on a bad pick. I had a hunch about the 1935 P I needed, though the '34 will just be an extra. Still not sure if I am pleased as I am picky regarding the wheat lines...trying to decide when to let go of that obsession as I dig into earlier in the series:
My FIRST gold coin EVER!!!! It's going to find a permanent home in my CAC Type Set. Isn't she pretty? Bought here on CT from a member.
I was considering buying that one I decided against it as I've already gone way over my budget for the month. It's a great coin!
I've been meaning to post this beauty for a few days now! A fellow CoinTalker (xGAJx) was kind enough to let me buy it from him and I really enjoy the color NT or AT is no bother to me and I find the lamination adds some character. It's a fun one!
Who needs feebay we can do plenty of buying from each other I been real quiet lately but I got one on the way too from a ct member
