is this quarter worth holding on to?

curious if this is something special. i found it in a bag of quarters. the coin sorter would not accept it, twice, so i looked at it and noticed the strike.

Misaligned die

 

You may be able to 50 cents to a dollar for it. But if you feel like you should, then keep it! that's the simple answer.

Make sure to check the edge. Every partial collar (aka railroad rim) I have found shows a misaligned die. I may not be, just check it if you haven't.

 

for only a 25c coin to tie up, I would keep it.
