I gave my 2 dateless buffs from this week a vinegar bath:
    1916
1924S - Semi-key date with only 1.4 mil minted. Shame I had to use the vinegar to see the date.

    2 boxes of dimes:
    Box 1 - skunk
    Box 2 - 1956 Roosie

Man, I thought I was going to hit a $1500 skunk streak with dimes. Luckily that 56 stopped it...

Well, Bank of America finally cut me off.
When i started CRHing when i was 8 years old i asked the head teller if it was okay to buy coins even though i didnt have an account. shewas fine with it, as was the next head teller. today i went in there to get a strap of $1 bills. there was a new teller, who was probably not from the USA being that she had an accent and was reading a copy of the Constitution when i walked in. i asked for a strap of ones and handed her a Series 1981 $100 bill. she was a little confused by it and kept holding it up to the light so i explained that it was an older bill. she asked to see my debit card and ID. confused, i handed her my prepaid American Express and my permit. she asked me if i had an account, and i said no. she told me that she couldnt give change to people who didnt have accounts, so i asked to talk to Amy (the head teller). the teller told me that Amy had been transferred to a different bank and they had a new head teller, who just happens to be one of the tellers from the other branch who told me not to come back unless i had an account. so now I dont have anywhere to order boxes or bags of Ikes. I still have UMB where i can get CWR halves and First Federal (where i have an account) to dump coins, but both are pretty far from my house. on the bright side, i went to my dump bank (First Federal) and got 3 loose halves, one of which was a 1967.

jlogan - BofA is hit-or-miss for me. I have had tellers tell me one day that I can't get coin from them since I don't have an account only to be more than happy to give me the same coin the next week. Maybe give it a few weeks off and try again?

My pick up branch of BoA couldn't hook me up with my usual box of cents this week. It seems they have another "hunter" coming in weekly to pick up now too. Unfortunately, he's turning around and bring his searched/re-rolled coins right back to them so all they had this week was searched rolls. The head teller was actually very apologetic and said they'd hold a fresh box for me from next week's order. She seems to like seeing the "finds" I bring in to show them - and the occasional box of chocolates that come along with them when I find something special.

If worse comes to worse, I've already asked my CU about ordering boxes through them. The branch I talked to said they'd order me as many cents, nickels, dimes, or quarters as I wanted as long as I gave them a week's notice. They don't order halves or Ike's, though.

    This week's results:

    $35 CWR Nickels- Skunked for silver, but found 19 pre-1960 coins: 38, 40 (x2), 41, 46, 46-D, 47, 48, 51, 52, 54-D, 55-D (x2), 56-D, 57, 57-D, 59-D (x3)

    $150 CWR Dimes: 1961 (x2)

Three boxes of halves last week yielded 9 40% and 22 NIFC. Guess I will keep trying halves...those results are better that the past 15 boxes.

Hello everyone....I've been out of the CRH for about 3 years now. However, I took a shot over the weekend and grabbed some nickels and dimes from various banks in my area. Total of about $750 searched. I wound up with:

    2 Dateless Buffalo Nickels
    4 Silver Roosies

How's everyone been? Not sure if anyone is still around from my posts?

Stopped by my local bank today to roll search for the second time ever...I just stumbled into this after finding this site....I have found it's quite addictive but normally don't have the time to sit down and do it....

Results were pretty good. A couple had just turned in some old rolls the teller said.

    20 nickel rolls
    7 halves rolls

    Came away with
    15 40% kens!!!!!!!!!!
    1 44 war nickel
and some misc pre 62 Jeffersons

    19 cwr/bwr.......1 40%

can't believe I actually found one, been REAL tuff around here so I've almost quit. Hit 8 banks today and all I could scrounge was 19 rolls and some loose. A Wells Fargo whom I have no account with was kind enough to order me 2 boxes and wouldn't take my $ in advance...we'll see if they follow thru? It'll be my last hurrah (said that before...lmao)

I've been searching half dollar rolls and I've been getting skunked like crazy... so yesterday my father in law asks me if I would like some old coins. What a question right?? You bet I would. So he hands me this little cedar keep sake box.
    In it were...
    2 - Franklins
    4 - 1964 Kens
    13 - 40% Kens

Doesn't happen very often, but I'll take what I can get. :)
