9pm pacific 8pm eastern on Amazon. Anyone going to try and snag one? Seems like the secondary market would be a slam dunk on these with such a limited number.

My guess is they'll all be overpriced given the hype surrounding the horde. Maybe some items will make for a good flip on Ebay though for the buyers who miss out. (if they sell fast on amazon)

I still haven't been able to find where they are being sold or the list/prices. I thought I signed up on amazon for them to email me about it, but I never got anything

Excuse my typo, it is 12am that they go on sale for east coast. My guess is they won't send the email til the coins go on sale officially, which is the aforementioned time. I just cant fathom there won't be speculators for these things. Get one and throw it up on Ebay just like the baseball commems.

Don't think I'll be buying any at that price. That's a shame.

They'll be on eBay in a couple days... basically this is 700+ of the same coin. AU50's listed for $3500, MS62's listed for $4350. Dozens and dozens of clones. Interesting that if there's one of a particular date that graded say, MS64, the price jumps to $14,000 all because it's a (top-pop! Ooooooo!). o_O

I'll bet they are only expecting/hoping to sell a small percentage of these to clueless people, make a huge profit, then eBay the rest.

Seems as though a couple hundred already sold. I like double eagles, and the story is cool, but I am sitting this one out. I bet they will sell out pretty quickly, even at these prices. From the coins I looked closely at, they are minimally marked, but the MS61 are hairlined . The strikes on the 1889s are really sharp.

Did you see the boxes they come in? That alone us worth the 100% mark up!

Agreed, the ads are clearly written to appeal not to collectors or numismatists, but to "Shop at Home TV" type customers.

I am reminded of the saying about fools and their money. Did notice the first lot listed as 14 coins, but pics only show 12.

    I think I'm a little disappointed in Kagin's.
