It's actually Japanese. The bridge is the Kiyosubashi in Tokyo which was built in 1928 and inspired by the Deutz Suspension Bridge in Cologne, Germany. Gary
Wow, how did you know that! With your clue, I was able to find out the following: "A commemorative medallion issued in 1930. The back side features a clock with hands frozen at two minutes to noon. The front side features Kiyosu Bridge." I believe it is a medallion in remembrance of the 6,400+ people killed in the Kanto Earthquake of 1923 that hit at 11:58am (same time that is on the clock on the medal). One report says bridges were destroyed so perhaps the bridge pictured was one of them. It really is impressive and a cool piece of Japanese history. Thanks!
