I got 3 of these Austrailian Florins (I am Guessing) florins that is. 1942,1951,&1953 and that one has a profile of some chick called Elizabeth. They look Silver, reeded edge.

Nice 2/- coin (Two Shilling denomination another name for a Florin) the Chick as you put it is Queen Elisabeth II of the United Kingdom :D as for values you will be best to wait till Aiden gets on line and has a look, also can you post pics of the other 2 coins?

Ok sorry about that Chick remark. :D Lets just call her lizy for now. (God save the Queen Aye?) ok I got pics of lizy. The other coin(1942) is purdy much the same as the 1951, Just a slightly lower grade. :thumb:

The 1942 is .925 silver, while the 1951 & 1953 are .500 silver, with the balance being copper, nickel and zinc.
I have a small and growing collection of them myself.

This should help you out a bit.

Hi Joe, the florins you have are not rare and would probably be worth BV plus a little extra. They are nice coins though ;)
