2007 Silver Ealgle Proof

    how much is a 2007 silver american eagle proof coin a a normal coin shop and do u think it is a wise investment

    Forget the coin shop and buy them directly from the mint - they are cheaper than the coin shops.

    you can be comfortable buying eagles from the mint, these coins do not have the quality control issues found in mint and proof sets

    Probably not. But it sure is pretty.

    Wait a couple of months and buy the w uncirculated silver eagle from the mint, it will be worth more and cost less.

    I've heard this from time to time, but why would an uncirculated coin be worth more than a proof?

    It would be worth more because of the lower mintage. Less supply in the market with equal demand means higher prices.

    Thanks for the info. I didn't realize there was a higher number of proofs minted.

    That was true last year, it doesn't mean it will be this year. You see, the unc version didn't even come out until the year was almost gone in 2006. In 2007, they will have the entire year to make and sell them.
