I think after you post you have a certain amount of time to edit the post. Usually an edit button appears (below my signature) that I can use. As to the original question - I would save it until I could afford a coin that fit in my collection. But if I had to spend it I would buy a couple oz's of silver.
I would probably invest it into roll hunting. Nothing's better than finding a coin 100x it's face value for face value!
I'd try to buy the nicest Seated Liberty Quarter I could find with $100.... Then ask if I could have another $100!
I might suggest that you shop around for a nice ancient silver coin. I personally prefer Greek coins (those minted before the Romans took over). Here are some examples that were in an Internet sale last week. These particular coins are no longer available for sale. They are just $100 examples intended to get your interest. https://www.pecunem.com/auction-16/lot-48 https://www.pecunem.com/auction-16/lot-143 https://www.pecunem.com/auction-16/lot-219 This last one was estimated at 100 Euro. That is 30% more than your US$ 100. However, it is a killer coin weighing 17 grams of good silver and it is 2,300 years old from Athens Greece. Coins like this one were used to pay for the famous Athenian wars and temples. Is this information of interest?
Hello my friend. Just haven't been around. Health issues, commitment issues, all the things old guys go through. LOL Still roll searching though. Keep adding to my error collection. Glad to see you're here. Doing well, I hope
Those are seriously cool! I thought that most Greek silver coins would cost a lot more than 100 euros, especially the Athenian Owl.
I bought this for $100 last week: The slab is really messed up on the obverse, but the coin is fantastic.
Nice dime! Good toning and details!! Ive had my eye on a 37 no stars for a while....gonna be above the $100 budget im afraid....
