Oh. My. Goodness. My inner nerd is really going crazy over this one! Magic: The Gathering Collector's Coins.
Interesting, but, it does not look like a silver bar. Silver should look like silver. If they made it with a combination of proof, satin, and matte finishes it would look better.
I think it looks great! I don't know anything about "Jace" or why he may or may not "sculpt minds", but I think it's a great looking hunk'a silver!
I agree with this the vast majority of the time, but Jace is really rocking that bar! BTW, anyone who appreciates art should be playing MTG, the cards are amazing!
Funny. My dad made fun of me 20 years ago for wasting my money on MTG as he advanced his coin collection.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic:_The_Gathering It's a fantasy-themed collectible card game that was first published in 1993 and is still being produced today. Last time I looked, cards can range in price from worthless into thousands of dollars, depending on condition and rarity. I played the game a number of years ago. I might have been interested in this bar at half the price, but the usual "produced as a collectible" caveat applies.
Never was a fan of magic the gathering. When I was in Boy Scouts everyone would play that darn card game during summer camp. me? I went to the range and shot rifles & shotguns. Got some awards too.
In hindsight, I probably should have just looked it up, but for some reason it never dawned on me to do so. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me.
Nerds! Wait...the kettle may be calling the pot black here... I don't care for collorized bullion or coins. The design could only appeal to me if it was traditionally minted.
Not a one! I know several people that are just crazy into MTG though. I've never actually played myself -- it was more the concept that got my inner nerd going! I'm more of a traditional video-gamer girl. I'm not normally a fan of colorized gold and silver either, but the design of that one is just so cool!
