This is a Spanish silver 5 Pesetas.'Espana' is the Spanish word for 'Spain'.Castilian Spanish is actually a totally different language to what is spoken in Latin America & the U.S.A.. Aidan.
A picture (or at the very least a full description of the design) would be very helpful. However, from the legends alone it appears to be KM#655, a 5 Pesetas 25g coin silver piece with an ASW of .7234 oz. (~$9.50 bullion value). Mintage was 5.9-million at the Madrid Mint (six-pointed star mint mark). The Standard Catalog of World Coins 19th Century 3rd Ed. (2001) values it at $450 Unc. If I've got the right coin, it has a seated woman facing left with a sprig of leaves in her upraised right hand on the obverse, and a shield with four segments, topped by a crown, and ribboned pillars at each side of the reverse. The legend includes "900" between "ley" and "milesemas".
