Check this out. Interested in your opinions on whether this person has a rerolling machine to roll these halves like this. Seems like it to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-ERROR-Ban...48?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item461edb223c
Even if no it could just be that the company that rolls them ran out of half rolls and used whatever they could find. Who would pay more than $10 per roll for this? Insane.
I started a thread not long ago about this situation. After talking to a dealer he said he makes a ton of cash with an expensive coin roller and he can basically make any roll look original. Sadly I won't be buying " original bank rolls " any more
Those guys are setting themselves up for unhappy customers. When people realize that they paid far above face value for clad coins they could have received at the bank, they will claim that the halves were searched and the seller wrapped them back up themselves. Is it worth doing this when there is a good chance for negative feedback?
He's using paper intended for small dollar wrappers and making a ton of money off of people who are clueless to the fact that no bank would ever put any coin rolls out that had the wrong value on them.
