Odd edge reeding on a Kennedy Half

    Obverse shows missing areas, especially around the E & R. Grease?

    Reverse shows some upraised areas, possibly chips. I'm not sure. (See the star under the U, two more marks under the N and one over by the dot after DOLLAR, dot on the I in America.)

    Edge - Initially assumed it was PMD, but then noticed that some of the reeded areas were missing, some look doubled and some look longer than they should be. half dollar 2.jpg

    I suppose it's possible that the collar didn't seat properly, but that's just a guess.

    I've seen this effect on some of the Mint Bag coins of late.
