    Which of these coins has the best eye appeal?

    I'd say #2 is nicer. The uneven toning of the first coin makes me think that it was previously cleaned.

    The 29 is a lower grade but I think it has more eye appeal.

    You are 100% correct sir. My apologies. I would take the 1929-d simply because it is a lower mintage as they are both worn down to bullion level.

    Would you take the 29 with a $50 difference?

    If the selling price is the same, I would buy #2. Besides more detail, it has the more natural silver color. I own one toned silver coin in my collection, so natural color is important to me. I don't have as heavy of a demand on copper pieces.

    I'm liking the 29 I like the color and is well struck and finely detailed even with the wear the 37 not bad either but the 29 a tougher coin and my pick

    Gooch is not an uncommon last name in northern New England especially in the eastern nh southern Maine and ne mass area I have a friend who's name is mike gooch
