There is something special about US coins from this time in our history.
When I see one, I just want it. Wish I had built a collection based on it.
Show us what you have from 1861-1865, if you wish.

A trying time for our nation to say the least. Being a Civil War history nut, I collect civil war patriotic and store card tokens.

beautiful proof HD, Larry! I don't have anything even close to that level of preservation.

Just ordered this one to add to my collection. It's an NGC VF-35.

While this 20$ no motto has uncirc details unfortunately there are cleaning marks on the obv. The reverse has full cartwheel, though.

green18, is that a seriously rotated rev die on your 2 center?

    Yup, that's the rotation.

Wow, that's really cool. I've never seen a coin that rotated!

I'm told that it happened quite often with 2 centers. :)

Nice 64s, sir; both of them. I've long been a great fan of civil war date LS50Cs (1862-65 anyway), so it's always a pleasure to see a nice solid survivor. Have you any others?

Darn :( Not even if I made an offer you can't refuse? Or maybe for a good trade?
That is one of the most beautiful coins my eyes have laid eyes on. Congrats on that one :)
