I got my lowest serial number ever back in change today, a 2009 $1

    F00000083I

Its pretty well circulated but I will hang onto it until another lower one comes my way....might be a while.

In circulated condition, are these worth more than face? Thanks,

Four leading zeros at the minimum. Uh, that one is really low. Nice find.

Four leading zeroes for small size non nationals is considered low. Your note should command a small premium unless it's a complete rag. Many low serial numbers are also pulled by the BEP, so they're not that common in circulation. It won't go up in value, but its definitely a keeper.

A low serial number to me is anything under 100 or if it is higher it should be a year number. Also it's anything you like. Bet I confused all of you.

Most dealers I know who sell currency say it takes five zeroes minimum to be a low number, 00000xxx.

eBay, where the scammers prey on the ignorant and those too lazy to research the items they bid on.
