I'm guessing the economy's getting better. Heck, back in 2000, coins were coming to circulation within days of the New Year. Also, perhaps paradoxically, I found my first 2009 P Presidency cent at a $5 box of pennies a few weeks ago. Still no dimes or nickels yet.
Not a one. Similarly, I've found a sparse amount of 2013's in my change as well. I remember in 2010 when bobbeth87 struck a gold mine with his pocket change filled with nickels and dimes from that year, while the rest of the world had yet to see any at all. I remember he didn't really believe us at first when we told him he could net a good amount. Much to his surprise and liking, he did end up getting some ridiculous premiums for those coins. I only tell this anecdote because I have a question: Has this trend, of individuals paying insane premiums on the current year's coins due to low availability, been reoccurring since then?
Only a handful of P mint cents and three P mint dimes. No nickels or quarters. I do have rolls of 2014 halves!
I have been getting alot of 2014 quarters in my change. I dont keep them though, boring. I also get pennies but thats the norm.
