Islamic Dates on Coins & Banknotes.

    Sometimes an Islamic date does not correspond directly into a Christian date.The reason for this is due to the Islamic year being 11 days shorter
    & that the AH (Anno Hegiriae) calendar is a lunar calendar.For example,a
    1960 Maldive Islands 50 Laari is dated AH1389,whereas,the 1982 50 Laari
    is dated AH1402.Iran uses a solar version of this calendar.
