1953 S/D nickel?

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hi all:) Does anyone else see an S over the D on this 1953 nickel? I did not see this variety listed for the 1953 so I figured why not post the pic:) What do you think? Thanks, Trisha!

    Welcome Trisha,

    Looks like Post Mint Damage (PMD).
    I see a few other nicks on the rim, so something hit or nicked the "D" to move some of the metal.

    trisha! take a whole coin view. on a clean image put the coin in so we can determine if its an error or a modded coin!
