Hahaha you got me back. ;)
Yeah we are supposed to have 2-4 inches of rain today. The 20 yard dash from the bank to my car was awful. They were in the process of closing down the road to my house after I left the bank since the stream was starting to come over the road. I was afraid my wife's tiny car was going to float away :)

Got another box of pennies today and it only had 9 wheats and 9 Canadian pre-'97. Big difference from Monday's box that had 108 wheat's..

I've done over 300 boxes of cents and I've never had a box with over 35. I usually average around 10 per box. I would kill for a box with 108 in it :)

My bank forgot to order my coins for the week. But when I got home I got a call from my dump bank, they filled up a bag of halves and asked if I wanted it. I said absolutely and will go pick it up after work tomorrow.

I don't really roll hunt, but I was out with my wife and she wanted to stop into a salon and get her hair done. There was a bank across the street, so I grabbed $20 of nickels. Came across three dates in the 40's, a Russian Rouble, and two exquisite toners. :p

I know, not very wonderful, but it was definitely more pleasant than reading back issues of Vanity Fair.

Picked up that bag of halves from my dump bank. Wasn't expecting much. I was mildly surprised :)

    15x40%(66, 67x3, 68Dx8, 69Dx3)
    2x90%(43 Walker, 92S Silver Proof)

The bag also had a 98S Clad Proof, a 1971D Rim CUD, a 1983 Plated with 1960 and 1980 counterstamped on it. There were several foreign coins, a gold prez dollar, a couple quarters, a nickel, and a cent.

Dumped the last $1k of halves this morning and filled up the bag after $377. I asked the teller if I could buy the bag off of them and got the OK. Pulled out 5x40% as well as a grease filled die where only "BER" are visible on LIBERTY. Not too bad for $623 searched :)

Got a little busy towards the end of last month, so this is a catch up post:

    - Cents (11,000 searched): 2,441 copper, 36 wheats
    - Nickels (3,400 searched): 1 war nickel, 25 pre-1960
    - Dimes (4,000 searched): 2 pre-64 Roosies

My first search of May is officially skunked for silver from $100 dimes and $40 nickels searched. I did turn up a 1936 buff and a no date buff. I'll give that one a soak over night to see if I can raise a date for him. photo (4).JPG

    I found a 1c 1979 D 1mm 003 MS60 today. Really surprised me, because this box has been a dry run.

I would probably have started the car and sucked on the tailpipe before I read Vanity Fair. LOL

Do you keep all of the copper pennies you find? That would take up a lot of space after a while.
