If you all are up for it lets see if we can post how much silver we really find in rolls and maybe figure out what the real % of silver coins in rolls mite be. I will start: Kennedy half's, 4000 looked through, 67 silvers found. that gives me a 1.675% "silver" find rate, so far. Please join in the more data we get the more accurate the final #
% of silver unimportant 90, 40, 35 % don't mater just total quantity with any amount of silver. Thanx
I searched $1000 in a couple of bags of quarters about 1.5 years ago and turned up one '64-D. I find more silver quarters in the reject slots of coin machines. Quarters are just not worth the effort usually. Dimes are small enough that people don't notice the silver always - I have even found Mercs in CWR last week.

I own several car washes and deal with $10k+ in $.25 and have only found 2 silver quarters in the last 18 month ;(
I own a few gas stations so it was kind of part of the package. It is an awesome cash business but brings a lot of headaches and repairs. I won't lie though I do like picking thru them. I now save all my bi centennial quarters as well as the 90% ones.
