anyone seen any twos yet? They seem to have come out before the ones. Which is strange.

This isn't a like or dislike about paper currency, I would say it is a phobia. Do you just leave your change on the counter when you buy something?

Other than the signatures, no (and that they will be 50 to a sheet instead of 32, something you'll really only notice on uncut sheets). Series 2013 bills will be the first bills with Jacob Lew's signature. I'm kind of disappointed they won't be using his original "loopy" signature (Obama joked he was considering dropping his nomination when he found out about it lol...); he made a more conventional signature to actually be printed on money.

P.S. I just found out that there is actually a Series 2013 $2 bill! (I must have missed the memo.)

P.P.S. In case you want to see what I'm talking about with Lew's old and new signature, here's his Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Lew

What will change in addition to signatures is the plate position identifier. The new sheets will be made with 5 horizontal and 10 vertical columns. This will add 18 new positions per sheet and 18 new identifiers, never before used.

Might be worth getting an uncut sheet of. The BEP will have to get new frames made though lol...

I talked to a guy from the mint in Atlanta at the ANA show, and he said the same thing. He was with and worked with the new printing presses, for the larger sheets. It should be interesting when the currency is released.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

A guy from the mint worked on the presses at BEP?

  11. I just got my first 2013 this past weekend. It was a $10!

Not impossible but it's a common habit more than a mistake for people to think of money made by the U.S. government as coming from "The Mint" rather than the BEP, probably because there's more coin collectors than currency collectors around here. I probably made the mistake a few times myself lol... it's a hard habit to break.
