No heritage and stacks are the way I get coins I'd not normally get that and some of the wonderful dealers I've met through ct!!
Not the case for me anyway. I almost never purchase via BIN, but just received that $5 for 5 bids coupon.
I've never gotten anything from Ebay. Now that I'm not a power seller anymore they treat me like a red headed step child.
Another problem is their is a cap of $100 ebucks for any single item. If you buy a big ticket item say $2000 you don't get $160 you get $100
I never get anything and I use eBay all the time. I think that's the problem. I'm guessing they send these to people who aren't buying much to try to get them to spend more money. I do get selling offers, like free listings. Those come fairly regularly lately, and I do sell a lot.
That is how I signed up, and just got a 10% off any purchase over $50. And I had just done a BIN for $65, so it saved me a massive $6.50, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
In the search box, after you've typed what you are looking for, type "-unsearched, -shotgun roll", etc. That will eliminate anything containing those words.
I got tired of all the bill-me-later promotions, so I disabled promotions. Then I heard about people getting offers for quadruple bucks, so I signed back up. Since then, I've used a 15% off fashion coupon combined with quadruple bucks to buy a gold sovereign pendant, a $10 coupon to list something, and a $5 coupon to bid on a few things. (I haven't received the $5 coupon yet, but I did just get the $10 coupon.) Just when I thought I was about done buying, silver drops below $19. Hrmmm...
I always assumed they don't send the buyer promotions because of all the seller promotions I receive. I've thought about signing up for another account just for buying to see if I get coupons in that acct.
I've noticed my wifes account which we never use gets occasional coupons.. mine which is heavily used gets none. I think they give coupons depending on the level of use... trying to draw new customers or seldom customers back in.
Anybody else get offers this morning? I got one message that said 50% extra (3% total eBay bucks) on purchases $25-50, 100% extra (4% total) on $50 or more. I got another message that said QUADRUPLE points (8% total) on $150 or more. Woohoo, there goes the budget! I'd list some things to try to catch others who're taking advantage, but it's two days only (ends 11:59PT May 7). These are the first multiple-eBay-bucks offers I've gotten in a couple of years. I hope I won't have to wait that long for the next one...
Does that mean that you've been seeing them approximately monthly? It'll be easier for me to exercise moderation if I can expect this to happen regularly.
Yes, usually monthly. But it may be that eBay mistakenly thinks it has a whale on the line. You see, I spent about $6,000 on eBsy in Februsry and then found out about eBsy bucks. I spent another $5,000 in March. So eBay may think I'm a big spender. They are mistaken - my normal budget is under $2,000 a year. That was just some idle money I moved into coins. So that could mean my getting more of these enticements.
Received the same bonus bucks e-mail, twice in fact. I may make a purchase, but I have been restrained lately due to the possibility of either electing to retire very early or move on to another career soon. Just trying to be a little circumspect when it comes to spending these days.
I just received one of the only promos I've ever gotten.. as a seller. If I can get someone to sell something for the first time (or first time in a year) we both get $15 ebay bucks to spend. Anyone want me to send them the offer? I can do up to 5 people.
