Hello, everyone! I just finished my Chronicles, and wanted to share! Thanks, and enjoy! Amanda's Coin Show Chronicles: Central States, April 2014
A Gobrecht dollar! The very coin I pretend doesn't exist for my seated liberty type set. And that 1882s ms66+!!! It's cool just to look at them. Thanks.
Loving it and the Gobrecht dollar and of course the 1795 flowing hair (I have one yours is nicer but probably my all time fav coin is the flowing hair dollar) I'm hoping to go next year I did an antique show local to me it sucked but someone brought me a great coin tho I'm hoping to start making it to coin shows soon
Coin Porn is kind of a catch all. Stuff we've brought with us, stuff we've sold, stuff we've bought, even (rarely) cool stuff other dealers bring by to show us. Sent from my iPad Numismatist, Alhambra Coin Center www.lifeatthecoinshop.com www.facebook.com/lifeatthecoinshop
I'll be hitting the Coin Shows pretty soon. I have a local one next weekend. I hope to see most of you at Baltimore next year.
Another great write up Amanda! Always enjoy reading about your adventures, especially when they cross paths with mine!
Ditto, Mrs. Charmy! I'm envious that you got to go downtown!! Sent from my iPad Numismatist, Alhambra Coin Center www.lifeatthecoinshop.com www.facebook.com/lifeatthecoinshop
Downtown Chicago has soooo much to offer - great atmosphere, great food and even greater clubs. The clubs - jazz, blues, etc. - are some of the best in the country and shouldn't be missed! The last couple of shows when we were in the Chicago area, we went to Chicago Blues - now that is a GREAT blues club! I think if you stay in the main part of downtown, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I never felt unsafe, but then again I was surrounded by 3 guys at all times.
I keep meaning to add two days to the trip either before or after the show and take my sister with me so I can actually do some sight-seeing! As it is we hardly leave the convention centers, and when we do it's usually to go straight to a nearby restaurant and straight back! great write up. I loved the coin porn. all were great. I especially like the Full Head SLQ and that rainbow toned seated dime.
