I have had a few Capital holders in the past, but I stumbled across this one today and it really jumped out at me. I have been wanting to put together a nice raw MS war nickels set for some time and I thought this would be a great way to house it. If anyone has this, does it look as nice in hand as it does in the photos?

I don't have one, but I've seen them in coin shops, and they are indeed very handsome - one of the better Capital designs in my opinion.

They look great with the right coins. Pick coins with killer luster.

Capital holders can be VERY nice.
My only problem with them are that they can be VERY hard to store securely.

    What do you mean?

    The key word is "securely".
That means at home in a safe or at the bank in a safe deposit box.
Sometimes Capital holders are just too big to fit.

Oh...OK, I misunderstood. I thought you meant they are hard to seal up.

Yes, I can see that being an issue. This particular item is 6"x8" so I don't think it would be a huge problem...but with some of their large holders, I can certainly understand that.

Cool holder. I have some war time nickels in a different capitol holder. I like this one better.

I've always liked Capital Plastic's products. While I agree with @kanga about them being difficult to fit in a safe, it seems to me that the reason someone would want to have coins in such a holder is that they're going to be displayed, hung on the wall, or something of the sort.

I've never had the one you're talking about, but have several others and never have been disappointed in any of their products.

OK, good to know. Thanks Peter. I think I will pick one up.

I'm not worried about security for a war nickels set and I think it would look really nice.

After you're done with the war nickels, do a couple more sets in Capital holders and put them on a wall at your office, that would look really nice. :)

Very cool holder, i was Amazon today and they have a white or black, no screw war nickle holder for $14.95 plus shipping.

I might just do that. :)

I saw one like that...but it looks like it's cheap plastic as opposed to the heavy screw-down acrylic version.
