Got This At Work Today

    I will just slip it in a plastic sleeve, wrap in bubble wrap, and put in a flat rate box. $5 for shipping

    Every yard sale I've EVER been to, had a pile of tatty, boring, decrepit books for 10c or 25c each.

    Actually, $5.80 for a flat-rate box. Insurance limit is $50. If you want to insure for $100, the $50 doesn't count toward the fees, and you can't "add" another $50 insurance. You start over. Clever, those USPS guys.

    I found this, but no time to research further:

    o. Except for Registered Mail, the maximum indemnity for negotiable items (defined as instruments that can be converted to cash without resort to forgery), currency, or bullion, is $15.00.

    You cannot insure bullion unless sent by Registered mail, plus insurance.
