foreign/military lots...how much

  1. So I'm headed to an auction later. I'm more of a silver collector, and starting out in numismatic coins, but old paper money intrigues me as well and I think these could be a good way to start learning. would give me something to start out with and want to learn more about. What would any of you think these lots could be worth?

The bills don't look like they are in any great condition but some look alright to me.

    What would you bid?

EDIT: and the bids are on the paper themselves no the frames they are in.

Not more than $5-10 or so. Those are pretty common Asia Pacific WWII notes.

Look's like the notes are Japanese and Japanese occupation notes of the Philippines.
They are common like scottishmoney said. If I really had to have them I would pay one dollar for each of them.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

I'd agree with Lou, and you can find nicer examples, because there's zillions of these around. $1 each, tops, and a few are only worth a quarter.

The PI peso in the lower right hand corner and the Nippon Ginko 1 yen silver certificate from 1916 are the best of the notes, the others are all quarter notes to me.
