Iraq 50 Dinars bank of Iraq note

my mom got this from a friend a while back. Any idea on the value?

not much. it is an obsolete currency now.

 

no numismatic value either? O.K.

 

not yet. most of the people in the US that have them where in the iraqi war. during that war iraq changed currencies.

 

so is it something to hold on to?

 

right now 5 of these bills are going on ebay for $1.35 the value may increase later on but the stuff that is worth money right now is the higher denominations the 25k bill is pretty neat.

 

fifty dinars lol just kidding.

 

yeah, those are cool, but the price tag is 50-60 dollars.
yeah, my mom will be saving it.

I took an Egg ad from a magazine and cut out the jail bars and photo copied it and then reduced the size to fit the 2x2 then I copied that on to a mylar overhead projector plastic then cut it to fit and then used a craft plastic rivet to keep it in place. I thought this was so cool and fun. I can remember when they first caught him. this coin on Ebay was going for $90.00 in this grade. now it brings from $12.00-250.00.

 

Ebay has a MS-62 NGC slabbed coin like mine going for $250. I think mine looks better.

 

NGC price for MS63 is $28. People can ask whatever they want. Great artwork

 

thanks. yup people can ask what ever they want. I think $40-50 would be a good price for an UNC grade. for the NGC $40 +slabbing fees. I paid $8.25 for mine. since he was killed the price on these coins plummeted.
