    how DARE you hate the nickel!!!!
    i am working on an entire collection of us nickels. (shield-1995 jeff)
    BTW, it is known as the cent, not the penny. the penny is british.

    thats how i was.e buffs, hated loved the jeffs.
    its different now. me and the jeffs worked it out.

    i like the libertys the best, Buffs are a close second, with shields in third and jeffs bringing up the rear.

    if so, why all the hate towards it? i despise the new pices (memorials-present) because they are run of the mill and BORING! i think its fine time for Lincoln to retire one last time.

    technically, Jefferson nickels are the most popular to collect with the newer collectors.
    the cent, yes it is popular, but just under (or just over) the popularity of them there Jeffs.

    I have other coins with a higher value, but this is my favorite. The obverse is PL and close to DPL and the reverse is PL. I don't know why this coin didn't at least get the PL designation. It's fields are very clean, the devices well struck and the contact marks are minimal. It is a beautiful example of a Morgan.
