Is there any way you can get a straight on (not tilted), clearer image of LIBERTY? I'm leaning with furryfrog toward MD, because it seems to take away from the devices. However, the Y looks interesting enough for me to want to see more of LIBERTY. If you have to get a little farther away, that's fine. Just as along as it's clear and not tilted.

Never mind, I didn't see the last pic. I agree with furry.

i have tried to take the best pics, only have 10x loop and phone camera,
S in trust shows a small notch in lower curve
liberty? LIB almost centered, RTY show more defined details of notching with a minor die break lower TY
in date the 14 split dead center and die crack in hairlines at top below WE

the only pic that makes it look like a DDO is the 5th pic (the one of LIBERTY) but it looks like you were shaking when you took it as well. better pics would help, but for now i am saying MD.
(i am not good at guessing these, so hold on to it until someone with more experience replies.)

It DOES look like doubling but since it doesn't look like an identifiable typical doubling class, I'm leaning toward Machine Doubling. That is until better photographs can reveal what is actually being looked at.

Don't select the blasted 'thumbnail option', select the full image option. For the life of me I don't know why people insist on posting puny pictures. Peter allows us unlimited file size so why not take advantage?

Cointreasurehunter, prop your phone up on a coffee can, with the camera over hanging it. And place the coin on the table. If you can lock your autofocus, do so, then take your lope and move it in and out until its a clear image.

And as im typing this, I think of something that I havent tried yet. If your phone can recorder video, the video definately can have the autofocus locked, then just film a small video. Download it to your pc, and then freeze the frame when its clear. Then screencap that and make a pic. At 24 frames per second, im sure youll get a nice clear pic at some point. Im going to try this tomorrow

Why not just buy a blasted camera? The danged things ain't too expensive and they take acceptable pics. Though I marvel at WingedLiberty's phone pics. How does he do that? Think of what he could do if he had a 'real' camera.......
