That is funny. They get pre-orders. They order 100 coins at a time, and the rest of us wait. :)

Contrary to popular opinion there is no evidence that dealers get priority treatment.

    True vision there Mr. Condor..

There is no evidence that Congress and Senators don't get special gifts when they help big business either. When I was a wee lad, I heard the phrase "It's not who you know but who you blow".
Well, I know a dealer in my area that has 100's of these in stock for the silly price of $59,98 or 2 for $100. Many more sold he told me. Finally, he told me he has 100's more on the way. I'm just saying.

P.S. I did question him about the 100 limit per customer. He told me he has 7 employees, their kids and so on. I said not fair. He did offer me 2 of the coins of my choice at $80 because I seemed very interested in them. I passed.

It used to be that folks would have to order coins via snail mail.

Returns were extremely difficult in those days unlike today's environment.[/QUOTE]

I remember those old days with the magnetic tear-off order strips and absolutely everything was done by mail with a check or money order. The coins would arrive 3-6 months later and virtually no returns allowed.

Well it's 4:32pm eastern time. . I called PB to find out where my coins were. I was told no coins went out this week because of inventory and all orders will be shipped next week. What a joke.

Also, I called the D mint offered by a few nice board members, left a message for Virginia. Apparently she handles all on the phone coin mail orders for the D mint.

What worries me, I heard the name Aramark fused with the US Denver Mint ordering system and I recall, doesn't Mark Cuban the Dallas Mavs owner billionaire own Aramark? Two left messages in 2 days and no return call.

Just freaking delightful. Last time for me and our mint ppl.

    What am I missing?
Sliderguy and several others appear to be really involved with exactly when they receive their orders.
Exactly what do you folks intend to do with you coins?
Unless you plan on flipping your order what difference does it make if your order arrives next week or next month?
My gold proof has been scheduled to be shipped 6/21 and that date hasn't moved. When the coin arrives I take a picture, and then introduce the new coin to the other coins in the safe deposit box.
I don't understand what makes this time sensitive. I guess some folks just need to be the first ones at the next red light.
Give the folks who work at the Mint some slack, no ones life depends on what or when they do anything.

Several, including myself, ordered extra with the exact plan to flip to pay for the ones we keep. Makes sense.

I am neither flipping nor selling mine--that is for sure. I intend to keep all four, once I have them in hand. The two clad halves arrived earlier in the week. Now, I await the Silver proof and uncirculated. No rush, but it should be handled with some semblance of efficiency.

I only plan to keep one Silver proof and one silver un-circulated for my collection. Others are Christmas gifts for my son, son-in-law, and 2 grand sons. The rest I plan to sell.

Aside from the missed flipping opportunuties, due to delayed shipping, the further down the shipping line your order is, the greater the chance you'll get someone else's problem returned coins. Seems like We The People always get ours after the big guys, who get the best flipping opportunities and quality coins.

Well, I must admit that I was going to flip a few to augment the purchase of what will remain in my collection. If I have to eat it, well, so be it. That's the chances we take fellows. Sometimes you win and sometimes ya lose. Happy as the devil I don't have to depend on this hobby to put bread in my mouth........:)

I guess if the mint made all the coins after all orders were taken and then sent them all out at the same time, that would be too fair and not acceptable to the big guys, who get better coins and get to profit more by receiving their orders first.

Actually I am not in real hurry to sell. I sense that these will be a hot item in the fall. A lot will be purchased at that time both for the nature of the topic and the fact that Christmas is a big season for giving silver as a gift. The 30-60-90 or whatever, day window of forced acceptance of returns at that time by eBay might cause some problems. It's just irritating that a perceived unfairness exist with both preferential treatment by both the Mint and by 3rd party grader to the power buyers. It is no secret that the buying power of wallyworld dictates the management decisions of their vendors and that is what I perceive is happening here. I could be wrong, Lord knows how many times I have been in the past, but that is how I see it.

That's simply not true. Mr. little guy here got his measly order of eight coins on April 8th and the 9th. It really is nothing more than being first to order. On hot issues like this you have to be ready to pounce when the bell rings. They really do ship FIFO.

My order was placed within the first 45 minuets of the bell. I am still waiting.

My order was placed at 12:11.
I'm sure a lot of the bigger sellers try to get in very early so in this regard they would have gotten a lot of the coins already minted. That's probably where people get the perception that only the big boys are getting coins shipped. The mint only had so many on hand to ship and will fufill orders as they strike more.
I can understand peoples frustration in not getting their coins yet. I experienced the same thing with the 2011 ASE set. I thought I got my order in fairly early but it seemed like forever till I got my set.
Hang in there, you'll get them.

Very true with the exception of those dealers that "used" the system at the Baltimore Show where the coins were sold "over the counter".

Are you amazed that this will make a great coin ring? Or why the ICON?

Amazed here too, he just turned a $700-$800 dollar coin into a quarter oz. of gold bullion.
