Do ya think he scraped the copper plating off or dipped in battery acid???

I'd rather have the belt buckle. At least you get some silver, and it makes a fashion statement!!! :D

Gee, you know, I'd pay the $5000 for this great one-of-a-kind find. But I refuse to pay $28.32 for shipping - I gotta draw the line somewhere! :D

So I guess I'll never be able to complete my one-of-a-kind collection. :(

Maybe you should email the seller and explain this to him. ;)

This is not an aluminum cent. This cent has been worked over by someone. The plating has been removed either by accident or on purpose. Either way, this coin does not, nor will not warrant any type of value near 5000 dollars.

i bet hes already been dreaming of how he will spend the money. To be honest sounds like a kid to me asking 5k for something he dont even know what it is.i suspected a few dealers kidded him along(notice how none bought it from him).

The cent is dated 1986, so is WAS copper plated zinc. The copper plating has been stripped off, so now it is just zinc.

The aluminum cents were dated 1974. I think GD has one along with his 1964 Peace Dollar. :D
