Hi All, I've got some Sacagaweas that are anywhere from MS67-MS69. I was debating sending them off to NCS before NGC. They've got light spotting on the surface. They were pulled out of mint rolls. Do you think it'd increase the value of the coin to do this? Or do you think the NCS people would laugh for me sending them in? It'd be about $20 a coin, so I'm debating the feasibility. Any ideas? Thanks- Nick
Nick, NCS would not be able to do anything about the spots assuming they are carbon spots. Also, I don't think NGC would assign a grade higher than a 66 if your coins do have carbon spots. Any chance you could post a picture?
Well I had some without spots with just a few very light scuffs, and some with spots with no scuffs, so I guess I'll just send in the ones with the few light scuffs...they're hardly noticeable unless you look through a magnifying glass.
