My five year old took his to school for show and tell.

That's right. The kid's probably going to crack it out of it's shell and bury it in the sandbox.

He's become the most popular kid in school this week, and my house will be robbed next week by one of his classmate's parents.

How have they changed my life? WellI now find I have to wade through a lot of HOF threads on the various forums.

Yes, that crappy design made me hopeful that next year we'll get a commemorative that actually commemorates something meaningful. But no, it'll be something idiotic like NASCAR or the 40th anniversary of the Pet Rock.

40th anniversary of the Rubik's cube. I'd be all over that.

  6. I would also buy a coin with a hexahedron shape.

They've made me about $1,800 poorer so far. Unless I sell, of course. Then they will have done the opposite.

This is my hobby, I expect it to give me satisfaction and enjoyment. However, I wouldn't want it to change my life one iota. Add more of the same? yes. Change? No. But all coins do that. Not just HOF coins.

Even though I don't have them yet, they have given me something to add to my "to do" list. I am able to check my Mint account every few days to see when the new projected ship date is.

It is very suspenseful for me. Will it be May this time? Will it be June? Will it be July? Round and round and round it goes and where it stops nobody knows.

Also, I have really come to hate ugly plastic shopping bags.

    Can you say clusterfork??????

I have so many bags from the different shows and conventions, when asked, I said "no" on the mint web site. I just figured they would be junk and thrown away. I have not seen a picture of one yet. Anyone want to accommodate?

  15. @Pcunix That's too funny! Maybe now just poke a few eye/air holes into it and give them away at ballparks when it rains.

Why would I need eyeholes when I'm shopping at the Bay?

No, but I have given away two other bags. One was given back :)

I used to be pessimistic towards life, but since receiving my HOF coins, I'm now optimistic toward life. My wife loves the change in me so much, she withdrew the divorce petition. Thank yous go out to the mint and the Hall of Fame for making me do a 180 degree turn around of my life.
