I was looking through some junk silver coins for die varieties and found these two 1964-D quarters that exhibit die cracks on both obverse and reverse, including a crack that goes nearly through Washington's skull. The reverses of both coins also show a die crack running from the "Q" in "QUARTER" through the wing tip.

You can crack Washington's skull open but you can't crack his revolutionary spirit. He was going to stop at nothing to win independence. He is the reason we can call ourselves Americans.

    Kool. :)

Am I seeing some doubling (mechanical?) on LIB (Liberty) or is that just a bit of glare?

I wish it were doubling. But it just seems to be the way the light was hitting the coin. :shucks:
