I just got an email that they are shipping my 2nd mint bag and charging me another 5 bucks. Still no coins, but 2 mint bags is kind of frustrating.

I guess I don't want the bags after all. I thought they were free and didn't realize that they charged you for shipping.

The mint makes their profits in bags now! The margins are much higher than metals

Ask me about holding real physical precious metals in an IRA or HSA plan.

Are you SURE that they charged you an additional $4.95?

Because, typically, the US Mint charges only 1 shipping charge per order regardless of how many "different" shipments make up the entire order.

I placed multiple orders, at different times. I believe they are sending me another one, not sure if they charged me

Two (multiple) orders, two (multiple) shipping charges.......

They charge the shipping for the ORDER. You are being charged the shipping for the order and they are shipping the bag. When the coins from that order ship they will NOT charge additional shipping. By doing it that way the Mint is actually losing money on the shipping for the order.
