Nobody is going to buy that junk. I’d blame social media in part. Now, I’ll admit I’m not versed in the follower stuff, I expect the posters of these goofy reels make money somehow. These deviants post reels using old auction results for Error coins claiming you can find these coins in your change jar. Now the so-called followers see this stuff, but let’s just say they’re uneducated. The questions flood in and of course everybody’s got 20 of these coins and ask where to sell. The poster of this cow dung rarely answers anything and instead posts more rare finds like the Lincoln Proof no S, and he sends his followers to their change jars. Thus, there’s all these folks thinking they hit the Lotto with their parking lot coins.
If you see a seller on ebay with a name like "auctionkings" just stay completely away from all his auctions. No matter how the pictures look the coins he sells are junk. Over inflated caps lock title. Bright light to hide problems. He even juices photos of legit slabbed coins to make them look better than they are to get the higher bids. But if you want a learning tool on what to stay away from, that's a good start.
Should be Auctionsmings. Their photos were the ones making me physically sick from looking at them…Here’s an example of their work…
And while we are at it... If this sells i have a jar full of dime I'm going to make a million off of...
Rarely does it catch up to them. It only takes a few naive buyers and they laugh all the way to the bank.
The worst thing about it is a lot of these buyers get into coins wind up purchasing some of this stuff then when they realize they've been had completely give up on collecting..
Yes Laurie, always come here to ask the pros, which I’m not one of them lol, but people are here to help. Gosh some just take advantage and have no regard for the hobby and collectors.
