What did this toned Morgan grade?

This is the kind of toning that I have seen come from the old Raymond Wayte albums, plenty of times, although this might have had to have been in a medium to high humidity environment to get that level of saturation. For me I can see it going as high as MS63.

I'd put it at a 62...I'm going to assume that the marks on the chin appear more pronounced in the picture than in hand. I'm no good at guessing what gets flagged as damaged versus run of the mill bag marks.

While we wait, and since you guys are already on the topic, is this end of roll toning?

That's the first thing that came to mind.

@wcoins, I thought about AU58... where exactly do you see wear? Eagle's chest looks good so does Lady Liberty's hair IMO

I don't think it is an AU - just not the best strike. I know a lot of those mid 1880's O mint Morgans are kinda mushy, I'm not so sure about the Philly issues. It is a shame about the hits on the chin because the fields look pretty good (or the toning is hiding hits in the pics). I'm going with 63.

Guess I haven't looked at enough rolled Morgans ;) , what I should have said I've never seen an end rolled Morgan or any coin with that degree of toning on both sides from being in a roll . Too bad for that chin though , looks like someone took a tiny hatchet to it .

Wowzers, it looks rather proof-like, but probably not enough to merit a PL designation. I'm in the MS-62 group, but might give it a star based on the color and PL reverse.

Was exactly what I thought I just couldn't remember the exact name of the album if it was roll toned the reverse (or obverse) would not be almost an exact duplicate of each other I just bought a great roll toner with some edge toning on the reverse but the obverse is spectacular toned over all of it I can't wait to get it to post it

AU58 too much going on with the obverse for me, but I concede to the experts as I'm far from one.
