Things have been VERY slow for me getting new coins.
My wantlist was too narrow and I wasn't finding much.
And to top it off I whiffed at the March Whitman show.

So I decided to kick start myself and re-open a dormant collecting area.
I already had 69 Early Commemoratives so I decided to start filling gaps.
Here's my recent purchases (not in hand yet):

I believe the Early Commemorative market is a bit soft now.
But the sellers on eBay don't seem to know that.
You REALLY have to search to find offerings that are priced under Coin World values.

The Booker T's and Carver Washingtons are very reasonable in high grade. I find it challanging to collect high grade examples 'in the raw'. :)

And I agree with you that the market is a bit soft at the moment. I picked up a three piece Cincinnatti set (raw) at Fun for a very good price.

Nice Picks Kanga. I agree with your statement about the prices being soft.....except for on ebay. Apparently that has become the trend for all the coins that I collect. Prices are anywhere from 5-20% higher on ebay than at a show. Most likely because they are trying to recover their costs. Someone on here called it the ebay tax. But others are charging 50-100% over the costs which is crazy.
