sweet new pick-up (congrats) ... yah, George-V is such a cool obverse, eh?

Ummm, I'm not awesome at grading, but it is certainly a beauty ... AU50?

Thanks for the reply! I was worried that'd be the case - because I was gambling that it'd pass for (at least) a lower MS-grade.
If not, that's okay too, as I really like the coin^^

And yes of course it's a cool obverse. Especially when you can find one with lots of detail. The jacket and crown and even the beard are really defined and detailed !

well, as I said => it's a beauty, but it looks as though it has had a couple of minor dings and clinks, eh?

Yep that's exactly what I was thinking as well. But I'm a terrible grader and I just figured they weren't severe enough and don't really take away from any of the important details. Who knows. I'll like it either way ! :]

Wow what a strike , that coin was hammered , beautiful coin Ash . AU-58 because Canadians grade more conservatively than the US firms do .

Ash notice all those tiny hits in the fields , those are circulation hits . Which would prclude it from a MS grade , there is also some very slight wear . The easiest place to see it is on the reverse on the leaves . Notice how some of the leave ends have a slightly different color , that color change is wear . In your pic they look more silvery . Hope that helps a little .

Yep I definitely see what you are saying. Ugh...so hard for me to get a nice MS coin for a good price. I just have some vision in my mind of finding cheap coins and them turning out to be like MS-65 + LOL I am a dreamer...

Hey when you get older you'll have the $$$ to buy what you like . I would have bought your coin as it's better looking than a lot of MS coins . So you do have a good eye for coins .

Thank you sir. Yeah I got it for only $17.00 so I don't think it was too bad of a deal ;]

And you're right. Once I start working I'm going to get a bank account dedicated to coin buying haha (just joking)
