I'm just going to hold on to them for now. I have a couple $5 gold indian head coins and a lot of different silver coins. I might start collecting like you guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a good idea and you have an excellent start with the coins you posted. My wife is curious. Since she watches Storage Wars, she would like to know if this was a storage facility you bought sight unseen and, if so, what other things did you find in the storage room?
Yes it was a storage facility auction and what they do is open the door like the show. You can not enter or touch anything but you have to examine the room and bid. The owner of this unit had 3 10x10 storages up for sale. One went for $25 dollars that this other guy bought an he hit it big. Everyone thought it was just full of books but I seem what he pulled out. He will make minimum 10 thousand. I bought the other two for $700. I got over 100 brass belt buckles, gold jewelry, coins that you seen and others, so many antique pieces like waterford crystals, Swarovski crystals, paintings, a 1936 copy of a stratavareous however you spell it, and a lot more. It's my top 3 units I ever bought. One guy last year sold a coin collection he found last year for 40 thousand. You get lucky sometimes but again it's gambling and you have to know how to sell everything else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good for you. It's good to know when someone takes a gamble and wins. I don't think these kinds of auctions are for me, however. I'm not that kind of gambler. So you had no idea what was in these units? It seems to me that you got lucky even if all you found were the four coins you showed here. Congratulations.
Here are some of the silvers that I found. This one says 1799 on it but its really worn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah it was lucky to apparently find some good coins but I found alot of good stuff. Again all luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
