I recieved a knock on the door late this afternoon and it was that elusive (ghost of a guy) UPS man. Mr. 'flash' had to slow down for an instant to get me to sign his little computer thingy (Diad?) para un package that he had for me. Oh Boy! Hall of Fame Coins! Nyet.......Mint bag freebee. What to do with this gem of a gift? Give it to the kids? They don't want it.
"Dad, really? Do you expect me to appear in public wearing this on my arm? What would my friends think? Like, it's not Gucci ya know."

Ok.....the wife. She could use it on her trips to JoAnn Fabrics. Lots of threads and sundry supplies could fit into that bag. "Are you kidding me Ken? I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing. What would the lady quilters think? I'd be a laughing stock.

Sad, dejected, and forlorn I ponder what to do. Nobody wants the bloody thing. I really don't have much use for it. What to do?

    Idea!

Doggie party hats! DOGGIE PARTY HATS!

Wrap one handle around each hind leg so you won't have to pick up after him.

Now I understand how you guys are getting the US economy up and running, again. You guys pay $4.95 shipping for a foreign made bag that costs $0.25 to manufacture and retails for a dollar. What you pay the mint for the Baseball coins, already includes the built-in separate shipping and the $0.50 your "free" bag probably costs them. Each order creates a minimum of two trips to your front door, and that's those important documented trips where a signature is required. Great job creation make work projects.;)

I for one will dispute ANY further shipping charges on my HOF coins should any appear.

I would take my lunch to work in that bad. Guess I need to order enough from the Mint to get one.

It was already calculated into the price of the coins. You can't dispute it.

  12. I have a great use for the free shopping bag. Use it to transport donated items. We seem to always be donating clothes, so next time the clothes go in the mint bag to be neatly deposited in the donation bin. Next time I think I see a homeless guy wearing one of my old suits or coats, I will know it is mine if he is also carrying that free mint shopping bag. :D TC

Bring it to your next coin show so the dealers know that they're dealing with a live one.

No ideas? There's plenty of things you can do with it.

-Fill it with beer caps and bury it on the beach, you'll give someone a heart attack [IMG]
-Keep it in your trunk for when you need to get under the car
-Good for sliding on snow it's coated polypropylene
-Threaten your kids they'll have to use the bag when they do something bad
-Sell it on ebay as a FS bag limited edition (FS=First Sewn, not my idea read about it on another forum :) )

Take it to your coin club and auction it off, start it at $1.95 maybe you'll $4.95 out of it and it will pay off your shipping..
