What would this Stone Mountain half dollar grade?

    What do you think this Stone Mountain commemorative half dollar grade? would grade and is it worth sending it in to grade? thanks for the help on the last one

    this coin is very special to me so if there is even a little bit of a reason that you guys think to send it in then i probably will

    Thank you and I don't believe it was cleaned, we bought it at a very reputable coin shop in st Louis and they check for those things but you never know, thank you for your opinion :)

    I don't think it would be worth submitting for grading.

    Nice looking coin. I have never graded well based on internet pics.I have always been dissapointed once coin is in hand. So I wont take a guess on yours. The coin needs to be between my fingers and under power. Rotating tilting ect.
    What did your dealer grade it at?

    He didn't give it a number but just said it is AU

    I would be in the AU camp. Seems to be just a bit of rub in those images. Great design I have always liked the perched eagle on the reverse.

    Thank you, and I love that too, this one and the Texas commemorative are my favorite commemorative half dollars for that reason :)

    The Illinois also has an amazing eagle on it. You may want to check that one out also. The Oregon Trail and San Diego finish out my favorites (along with the awesome Texas you mentioned). :D

    id say ms 64+, 64- 65 its very clean no scratches or distracting marks....

    Cleaned at some point in it's life. I would not send it in for grading.
