1992 D lincoln mint error

    Hi All! We are looking for any and all opinions about the mint mark. This is the first of this type either of us as seen, and we have looked though alot of pennies for alot of years. Thanks in advance for you help!

    The mintmark looks a bit large....I think it might be post-mint damage however.....pehaps someone flattened the mintmark out a bit with a hammer or something...I'm not sure....

    Here are a couple more pictures. The mark looks raised and sunken at the same time. What kind of tool would have been used? Thanks!

    Howdy gals - Welcome to the Forum !!

    Probably wrong, but ejection damage is the only thing I can think of.
