On a compulse buy, I put a bid on a 1906 uncirculated IHC. Instead, a 1905 showed up. Im not familiar with IHC. Ive looked over the coin and I dont see any wear on it. When I compare the PCGS grade photos, the first feather looks more like AU58, rather than the MS61, so Im not sure if it was struck with slightly worn dies or the coin is infact a AU coin. Any opinions? Thanks

btw, all the area below LIBERTY and behind the ear, is well defined and crisp. In the photo it doesnt look it but it is. Im clueless on the high points of this coin.

I cannot tell for sure, but I think I am seeing wear. But that could easily be your pictures.

Regardless, it is ms unless there is some wear. The "well defined and crisp" has nothing to do with au or ms. It might make a difference between MS66 and MS67, but not AU58 and MS60

This coin looks to be lightly circulated. I would personally grade it AU53/AU55.

The high points are the cheek, hair curl, ear, and ribbon on the obverse. The leaves in the lower part of the wreath are where I see wear first on the reverse.

Im going to keep this coin, and he will be sending me some junk silver to make up the difference, so its all good.
